Paul and Velma served as missionaries for 27 years in South America, over 300 miles from civilization.  They lived in the Amazon rain forest along the largest river in the world, and worked with the Yanomamö Indians.  Paul is a linguist, he speaks 6 languages, and he is a paramedic.  Both Paul and Velma have years of medical experience, working with the Yanomamö Indians of Venezuela and Brazil.

Paul has 30 years experience in teaching, counseling, and coaching, ranging from youth to adults.  Paul coached varsity basketball and varsity football.  He is also a specialist in training and working with horses, facilitating therapy with struggling young men and women. Paul has a Bachelor’s Degree in Intercultural Studies, Master’s Degree in Clinical Christian Counseling and Doctorate in Marriage and Family Counseling.  Paul is also a Marriage/Family Counselor.

Paul completed Professor Jesse Beery’s Horse Training Course in 1975 and has been training horses for years.  He also is a therapist and specialist in Equine Assisted Therapy and Equine Assisted Learning.

Velma was also a missionary in the Amazon Jungle of Venezuela and Brazil.  She has her degree in Intercultural Ministries.  Velma is an expert in outdoor living, with years of experience in jungle survival and cooking in the outdoors.

Paul and Velma have five children, and all are walking with the Lord, representing Him well. 

Paul and Velma love the Lord, and have a passion to help young people make wise choices, put their trust in Jesus Christ as their own personal Savior and walk consistently with Him.  They are members of Branson Bible Church, Branson, Missouri, where Paul is the Minister of Music, an Elder, and teaches both Sunday School and a College/Career class.


All of our staff are carefully chosen.  We choose staff who are of exemplary character and have a desire for ministry in the lives of others.  They have demonstrated a solid walk with the Lord, a sincere desire to please God.
